Caramel Topping (Date Cake)
A topping forked into its own recipe per the archive's rule that accompanying components (glazes, marinades, rubs, sauces, etc.) are kept as standalone recipes. It also remains inline in Date Cake, where it is originally used.
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup (180 ml) light brown sugar
- 6 tablespoons (90 ml) unsalted butter
- 5 tablespoons (75 ml) heavy cream
Method
- Combine the butter, brown sugar, and cream in a saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring, until it bubbles slightly, about 3 minutes.
