Honey-Almond Topping

A topping forked into its own recipe per the archive's rule that accompanying components (glazes, marinades, rubs, sauces, etc.) are kept as standalone recipes. It also remains inline in Honey Almond Coffee Cake, where it is originally used.

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup (160 ml) almonds sliced

Method

  1. Bring the remaining 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) salt, remaining 1/4 cup (60 ml) honey and remaining 4 tablespoons (60 ml) of butter to a simmer in a small saucepan over medium heat and whisk to combine.
  2. Once simmering, stir in almonds to coat. Spread almond mixture evenly over the top of batter.
