Honey Sauce (for Apple Cake)

A sauce forked into its own recipe per the archive's rule that accompanying components (glazes, marinades, rubs, sauces, etc.) are kept as standalone recipes. It also remains inline in Apple Cake With Honey Sauce, where it is originally used.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (240 ml) honey
  • 1 cup (240 ml) apple juice or cider

Method

  1. For the honey sauce: In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, combine the honey and apple juice or cider and bring to a boil. Stirring constantly, continue boiling until the mixture thickens, 1 to 2 minutes. For a thicker sauce, reduce the heat to low and cook, stirring, a few minutes more, until it reaches the desired consistency.
