Whipped Cream Frosting

A frosting forked into its own recipe per the archive's rule that accompanying components (glazes, marinades, rubs, sauces, etc.) are kept as standalone recipes. It also remains inline in Strawberry Cream Cake, where it is originally used.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups (480 ml) heavy cream
  • 3 tablespoons (45 ml) sugar
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon (0.5 ml) table salt

Method

  1. WHIPPED CREAM FROSTING: When cake has cooled, place whipping cream, 35 %, sugar, vanilla, and salt in bowl of standing mixer fitted with whisk attachment. Whisk at medium-high speed until light and fluffy, scraping down bowl with rubber spatula as needed.
