Graham Wafer Crust

Ingredients

  • 18 single graham wafers (about 1 1/2 cup (360 ml) crumbs)
  • 6 tablespoons (90 ml) butter or margarine
  • 3 tablespoons (45 ml) white or brown sugar

Method

  1. Break the wafers into chunks. Using a food processor fitted with the steel blade, process until coarse crumbs are formed.
  2. Add the butter or margarine and the sugar, and process a few seconds longer, until blended.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a lightly greased 9 inch (23 cm) pie plate.
  4. Bake at 375 deg F (190°C) for 8 minutes.
