Italian Salad Dressing

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) white vinegar
  • 3 Tbls. (45 ml) water
  • 2 tsp. (10 ml) granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp. (5 ml) lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. (5 ml) garlic salt
  • 1 tsp. (5 ml) onion salt
  • 1 tsp. (5 ml) coarsely ground black pepper
  • 2 tsp. (10 ml) minced fresh parsley OR 1 tsp. (5 ml) dried parsley flakes
  • 1/2 tsp. (2.5 ml) minced fresh basil OR 1/4 tsp. (1 ml) dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp. (2.5 ml) minced fresh oregano OR 1/4 tsp. (1 ml) dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. (2.5 ml) minced fresh thyme OR 1/4 tsp. (1 ml) dried thyme
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) olive oil

Method

  1. In a bottle or cruet, shake together all of the ingredients except the oil until well blended and the salts have dissolved.
  2. Add the oil and shake to mix.
  3. Store covered in the refrigerator.
