Shish Taouk Marinade
A marinade forked into its own recipe per the archive's rule that glazes and marinades are kept as standalone recipes. It also remains inline in Shish Taouk Lebanese Grilled Chicken, where it is originally used.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) lemon juice
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) vegetable oil
- 3/4 cup (180 ml) plain yogurt
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 teaspoons (7.5 ml) salt
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) ground black pepper
Method
- Whisk together the lemon juice, vegetable oil, plain yogurt, garlic, salt, oregano, and pepper in a large bowl.
- Add the chicken and toss to coat.
- Transfer the chicken mixture into a large plastic bag and refrigerate for at least 4 hours; overnight is better.
